Your trial, and what happens on day 14
Why the clock starts at ready, not signup
Your 14-day paid trial clock does not start when you sign up. It starts when your feed has enough content ingested to answer questions well. This way you’re not spending days of your trial staring at a progress bar.
We email you a “your widget is live” message the moment ingest hits ready state, with a prefilled example question you can click to see your own widget answer against your own content. That email is when your clock starts.
See How ingest works for what “ready” means.
What paid includes during the trial
- No “Powered by PodSaid” footer on the widget
- No monthly search cap
- Full access to speaker-scoped chat, citations, and every widget feature
- Priority support (email us — same address, faster response)
What free looks like on day 15
If you haven’t upgraded by day 14, your key stays live — the widget keeps working — but drops to the free tier:
- “Powered by PodSaid” footer appears at the bottom of the widget
- Monthly search cap of 500 combined searches + chat turns per month, resets on the 1st
- Everything else identical — same feed, same key, same allowlist, same embed
Nothing breaks. Nothing changes on your embed. You don’t have to re-paste anything.
How to upgrade
For now, click the “Upgrade to keep the trial features” button on your /console dashboard — it opens an email to Mark with your feed slug prefilled. Stripe self-serve checkout ships in a follow-up milestone.
This is a stub page — pricing table and Stripe checkout land in a follow-up.
